Learning Goals

The pedagogical analysis covers how the product supports learning of the identified skills. The student’s role is assessed by four contrary pair parameters, which are selected to cover the most essential aspects on the use of the product.

Although KidsOnline's main purpose is to be a Learning Management system for preschools, there are plenty of features that support also learning from home. The solution provides pre-curated material to support parents and home-based learning, and the activities done in the preschool are well communicated to the parent's side.
As a communication tool, KidsOnline is very strong. The communication with parents shows that students' work is not going to be unnoticed, and that keeps also the children motivated and interested. The students are able to reflect on their work once the work is communicated back to their parents.
The tool allows students to learn through exploration and reflection in their own way. As the tool's aim is to allow communication to occur between learners, teachers, and parents, learning is only achieved through communication and reflection. This supports giving attention to the individual needs of each child.
Features such as albums are a great way to visually communicate about projects, so they encourage doing collaboration projects in the student group, and share it with all parents. Collaboration between parents and children can flourish as the tool is designed in a way that parents can understand the child's strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes, and be in constant collaboration with the preschool.
