Learning Goals

The pedagogical analysis covers how the product supports learning of the identified skills. The student’s role is assessed by four contrary pair parameters, which are selected to cover the most essential aspects on the use of the product.

Passive
Active
The Dibi Academy program and its curriculum aim to engage children into an active role when learning a new language. The children will be exposed to the language during the whole program and they will be encouraged to practice it little by little. All of the subjects are supported in a similar manner.
Rehearse
Construct
Children construct new information every time they go to the lessons. Every year the program is responsible for teaching new vocabulary and practicing previously covered vocabulary.
Linear
Non-linear/Creative
Children follow the same basic curriculum, but as the teacher has a lot of time for each child, the program can be individualized based on everyone’s needs.
Individual
Collaborative
The program promotes collaboration skills and the majority of the activities are completed in collaboration with the whole group. Younger students are accompanied by a parent or a guardian with whom the child practices collaboration.

The following are the high educational quality aspects in this product.

The curriculum for the product is designed to be in line with the Finnish understanding of early learning. All the content is designed to support a child’s overall development and learning.
The learning groups are small, which makes it possible for the teachers to give optimal tasks and support for each learner.
All the teaching is held in English by a Finnish kindergarten teacher with the help of a local teacher.
